Americans head to the polls to select their president November 4, 2008.

2008 U.S. Presidential Elections Less Than a Month Away!

With the U.S. presidential elections less than one month away, this race is nothing less than historic. If Barack Obama wins, he will be the first African-American to win the White House. If John McCain wins, Sarah Palin will be the first woman to serve in the White House as Vice President. As the election approaches, the webpage for U.S. Embassy Ankara has been updated to include both English and Turkish versions of key election-related E-Journals published by www.america.gov . The following publications offer important insight into the American electoral process and the candidates themselves.
